In the Insight Offside column, renowned soccer journalist Falk disclosed that Manchester United and Real Madrid's pursuit of Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies has become apparent. If Liverpool are also keen on the Canadian star, they will have to be ready for anything by next January.
Falque revealed that Davies' intention to join Manchester United or Real Madrid has not yet been finalized, although he is looking forward to leaving Bayern. His contract extension talks with Bayern are currently in full swing and are expected to last until January next year. During this period, his agent Nick Hosse will be representing him at other top clubs.
Farke also revealed that Liverpool are expected to meet Hosse if he comes to England to discuss the possibility of bringing in Davies. Liverpool would undoubtedly be an ideal home for Davies, as their style of soccer would fit well with the young defender. Nevertheless, Manchester United and Real Madrid seem to be more determined in their bid.
Meanwhile, Bayern are doing their best to retain Davies in the hope of signing him to a new contract. They are confident of a contract extension, so Liverpool will have to battle it out in the competition if they want to succeed in signing Davies.
