The Beninese international and the Nigerian Warriors had an up and down battle in the 4th round of the group stage of the World Cup qualifiers for the African zone which was played on June 11, 2024.
The drums of war were beating and the Nigerian Warriors were the first to attack. In the 28th minute, Chukwueze's clever cross from the right was met by a powerful shot from Onyedika after a slight adjustment to put the Nigerian Warriors in front, making the score 1-0, but the Beninese internationals didn't let the sudden lead get to them, as they quickly adapted their strategy with the intention of turning the game around.

In the 85th minute, Olawoyin crossed the ball from the right side of the field and the ball was cleared to the bottom line by a defender's header. In the 86th minute, Onuachu's header went over the crossbar. Although the two attacking chances could not be converted into goals, they were enough to justify the efforts of the Nigerian Warriors in the second half.
The match came to an end as the referee's final whistle blew. The Beninese internationals managed to win the crucial battle with a come-from-behind victory over the Nigerian Warriors with a scoreline of 2-1. Goals from Moune and Jordel Dosu were responsible for the win. The Nigerian Warriors, on the other hand, despite leading in the first half, were unable to withstand the Beninese international's counter-attack and lost.
