In the fierce quarter-final of the EFL Cup, Manchester United lost to Tottenham Hotspur by 3-4 on the road and missed the chance of advancing to the quarter-finals. After the match, United striker Zylkiser, who came on as a substitute and scored a goal for the team, was interviewed by the club's official and shared his journey.
Faced with the reality of the loss, Zilkzer confessed, "No loss is pleasant, especially when it happens in a cup game that is expected to be won, the mood is heavy. However, I also saw the fighting spirit of our team, we never gave up and the resilience on the field is something to be proud of."
Referring to his goal, Zilkzer looked excited, "I think the timing of the goal was just right, right in front of the fans. We came on the field to inject positive energy, and even though we couldn't turn the game around, the goal really thrilled me."
Despite the setback in the EFL Cup, Zilkzer has not lost confidence for the coming matches. He said firmly: "We know that we have to be at our best next and maintain this level of competitiveness. Therefore, we will fight hard for three points on Sunday. We will also learn from this loss and intensify our training to be ready for the next challenges."
