After losing 2-3 to Arsenal in a tightly contested EFL Cup quarter-final, Crystal Palace boss Glasner went straight to the camera to give a detailed review of the proceedings and a look at his team's coming and future.

Facing Arsenal's comeback, Glasner said bluntly, "It was certainly a frustrating night. We were leading twice at the Emirates and thought we could at least get a draw, or even a penalty shootout. However, the chances were there and we failed to capitalize on them. Self-criticism is necessary and as I've said before, we must be at our best to fight for the win."

He went on to analyze: "Our ball control was too reckless and the ball was too fast leading to increased pressure on the defense. The formation was not compact enough at times, but Arsenal showed how strong they are. They controlled the ball in our half and in the attacking area so often that it was only a matter of time before they scored. We were too passive and gave them too many chances. We have to face up to this and improve."

Despite the defeat, Glasner saw the bright spots in his team: "Scoring two goals at the Emirates is not an easy task, and it shows that we have the potential to attack. But the team's overall performance still needs to be improved, and I know that every player is eager to beat Arsenal at home. I believe they will work hard for it."

He confessed, "After taking the lead, we seemed to respect our opponents too much. I told the players that I knew what they were capable of and wouldn't let them do more than they were capable of. They tried their best, but I think we lacked that 100 percent belief and courage to win the game. That's something we need to strengthen."

Glasner had positive things to say about youngster Polha, who made his first start: "He worked very hard and that's the reason why he started today. Even though he got a yellow card, it wasn't easy against a very fast player like Trossard. It was a very positive experience for him."

Finally, Glasner expressed his gratitude to the fans: "Our fans gave us great support today, which was great. They motivated us, especially towards the end of the game. We felt the turnaround, but in the end we couldn't score. It doesn't matter, we have to keep working hard in the FA Cup and see how far we can go."
