The EFL Cup quarter-final defeat failed to dampen the passion of Crystal Palace defender Polha. In his post-match interview, he candidly shared his journey as a debutant for the first time and his anticipation for the upcoming rematch with Arsenal.

Facing his first start, Borja was excited, "During today's team meeting, I was told that I would be making my debut, which was definitely an unexpected surprise. At first, I could hardly believe that I was going to actually walk on the field, but soon the excitement built up as I was finally able to prove myself in the arena." He went on to say, "I've been performing brilliantly in training and now I'm finally getting the chance to show it off, it's an unbelievable moment. I'm proud to be playing with Arsenal, one of the top teams in the world. Despite the outcome of the game, I will try to enjoy every moment, it's an immensely valuable experience."

Talking about the upcoming Arsenal battle, Borja was full of longing: "Against Arsenal, this game has more significance. We can learn from the last game, identify shortcomings and improve for this Saturday's game. I expect to show a better version of myself in the game and fight for the win." He also revealed, "Head Coach Glasner has encouraged me to continue to work hard for more playing time. Of course I want to continue playing for the first team, but he also reminded me to enjoy the game and work hard. I will keep his teachings in mind and rise to the challenge with all my might."
