In a recent edition of his personal column in 'the daily briefing', Italy's leading footballer, Romano, gave an insight into the rumored transfer of Crystal Palace star Gueye. He mentioned that Gueye's stunning performance in the Europa League has made him a target for many of Europe's top clubs.
According to Romano further revealed that this summer, Liverpool, Newcastle United and other Premier League giants have shown strong interest in Gueye and have had contact with his team. However, as of now, the transfer of Gueye is still pending. Romano made it a point to state that he is not a representative of Gueye and therefore cannot disclose the player's specific thoughts on his future plans.
Speaking about Gueye's current situation, Romano made it clear that the player will give his best to play for Crystal Palace this season. Despite the uncertainty of the future, Gueye has not shown a strong desire to leave the club, so it can be inferred that he has not yet made a final decision between Liverpool and Newcastle United.
