Former Manchester United iron defender Wes Brown has great faith in Dutch stalwart De Ligt to join the club and is confident that under the tutelage of new manager Ruben Amorim, De Ligt will quickly become a mainstay of the team, despite a slightly understated first arrival at Old Trafford.
Since officially landing at United last month, de Ligt has earned Amorim's trust and has shown his exceptional strength on the pitch. Although his time at Bayern has been slightly muted, his reputation as a top class center back has not been tarnished.
De Ligt had reached the peak of his career during his time at Ajax and grew by leaps and bounds under the guidance of Ten Hag. However, Ten Hag left at the end of October and De Ligt was met with skepticism. But Brown remained steadfast in his support.
Brown was full of praise for de Ligt and predicted that he will blossom under Amorim: "De Ligt has all the potential to be a top defender for Manchester United.
