Scotland international Scott McTominay, the rising star who had bid farewell to Manchester United and joined Napoli in Serie A this summer, recently gave a delicate review of his transfer experience in an interview with the English media, revealing his reluctance to part with Manchester United and his enthusiasm for his new life in Naples.

McTominay revealed that although leaving United was a big decision, his choice seemed to be made logical in the face of passionate fans, a new coach and teammates, and the many opportunities in front of him. "The decision was undoubtedly big, yet when I was there and felt the fervor and the possibilities, everything seemed simple." His words reveal determination.

Speaking about life at Napoli, McTominay is confident that he has settled in quickly and has no regrets about his transfer choice. "The adaptation process has been swift and I have never regretted the decision. I made my choice quickly because I knew deep down that this is what I aspired to. Once the decision was made, there was no fear." His tone reveals confidence.

McTominay also shared his tacit cooperation with his Napoli teammates, especially compatriot Gilmour. "I love this land, the fans and teammates here. Playing alongside Gilmour is both fun and empowering. We have always supported each other from the national team to the club." His words are full of team spirit.

On the motivation for the move, McTominay said it was a mutual decision with the club and that he saw the opportunity Napoli offered and was eager to do well in his new surroundings. "Leaving Manchester United was a mutually agreed outcome. I saw the opportunities there and struggled internally but ultimately chose to move forward. I knew United were facing financial challenges but I was more focused on my personal career development." His answer revealed his expectations for the future.

McTominay also recalled the scenes of saying goodbye to teammates and coaches on his last day at United. "Saying goodbye is always tough, but so is soccer and life. I had an in-depth conversation with Coach Ten Hagar and made it clear to him that this was a choice for my career path, for self-improvement." His words reveal a determination for the future.

Ultimately, McTominay says he has released his deep feelings for United and is fully committed to this new chapter at Napoli. "I love Manchester United dearly, they were a big part of my life for 22 years. But now I have let go of the past and am very happy in this new land." He summed it up with a lot of love for his new life.
