Albania head coach Silvinho has dropped the psychological warfare bomb on Italy in the upcoming Euro opener. He bluntly said that the battle will undoubtedly put a huge psychological pressure on the opponents.
Despite Albania's challenges in the qualifiers, Silvinho is confident, claiming that his team is ready to compete at full strength in Europe.
Talking about Italy, Silvinho said that as a soccer powerhouse, they have remained extremely competitive. Citing Brazil's opening draw against Switzerland in the 2018 World Cup as an example, he warned the Italians that if they lose in their opening match, the rest of the tournament will be even more difficult.
However, Silvinho also confessed that although Albania do not have the same immense pressure as Italy, they are feeling the same tension of the tournament. He revealed that the team is in good shape and the players are giving their best in training.
Speaking about his coaching experience, Silvinho recalled his time in Italy, saying that he learned a lot during his time as an assistant coach at Inter Milan and spoke highly of the tactical philosophy of Italian soccer.
With the Europa League approaching, Silvinho and his Albanian team are ready to go and looking forward to showing their strengths on the field and taking on the likes of Italy and other strong teams.
