In the 16th round of the English Premier League, which ended at dawn, Manchester City lost to Manchester United by a score of 1-2 in their own territory. After the game, Coach Pep Guardiola faced the Sky Sports camera, frankly analyzing the team's recent situation, and at the same time demonstrated the relentless pursuit of the future.

Pep Guardiola was blunt: "This year, there have been a lot of misfortunes of this kind, we've made a lot of mistakes and we've lacked consistency on the pitch. Compared to the past, we're struggling at the moment, and defeats are coming one after the other. Despite our best efforts, we were unlucky to give away two goals in the first half when our opponents had a clear advantage in terms of possession and the game took a turn for the worse."

He continued: "No one can be blamed for the way things are, it's been a challenging season. We have not been at our best and the team has not been at its best, so we have been challenged a lot. In the first two seasons, we didn't lose so often, but now, in eight rounds, we have tasted defeat many times. It's definitely tough, but we have to move forward and relentlessly look for ways to crack it and try to win the tournament."

Speaking about the weakness of the defense, Guardiola said: "We have to strengthen the defense, because we have lost in many games. Defense is the cornerstone of victory, and we are not doing well in this area. The situation is getting tougher and tougher and I need to find a solution. So far, I haven't found a solution, that's for sure. But I will persevere, convinced that we are capable of overcoming adversity."

Facing past defeats, Guardiola lamented, "In my opinion, this is not the toughest defeat in the past nine years. The Champions League defeat was more painful, but at this moment, we need to boost our morale with a win. We need to win and regain our confidence, and that's exactly what we're aiming for."
