In an exclusive interview with the Mail, Premier League star Alan Shearer was outspoken and made sharp comments on the leadership style of Manchester United's new majority shareholder Ratcliffe. Shearer pointed out that Ratcliffe's arrival has not brought positive effects to United as expected, but has instead plunged the Red Devils into a whirlpool of unprecedented chaos.

"The situation at United right now could not be more aptly described as 'chaos'." Shearer was blunt. He recalled, "When Ratcliffe took over at United, everyone expected things to get better, but the reality has been every bit as bad." Shearer further dissected Ratcliffe's decision-making blunders at United, including the adjustment of ticket prices, the handling of Ten Hagar's sacking and compensation, and the decision-making in the Ashworth affair, which appeared to be stretched.

Shearer emphasized that it is the performance on the pitch that is most crucial for soccer clubs. However, this improvement is difficult to achieve in the short term. Speaking about new manager Amorim, Shearer said, "Amorim will take over Manchester United and will find that the team has been saddled with £6 billion of debt, which is a reality he has to face and the maximum support Ratcliffe can give." Shearer believes that Amorim will need time to adapt to United and has "learned a lot" since he took over.
