In a recent interview, Chelsea legend Jason Kundy was not shy in his praise for the future performances of his team's rising star Sancho, and gave a fascinating look back at the ups and downs of his career.
Kundy fondly recalls, "Sancho's talent was in its infancy, and despite the twists and turns of his career path, his time at Borussia Dortmund was stellar. At that particular time, the club had a lion's share of the asking price of up to £110 million, but United were unable to get their way and eventually bagged Sancho for £75 million."
Speaking about Chelsea's decision to sign Sancho, Kundy was confident: "We only had to pay £25 million to complete the buyout, which is almost zero risk for a young English player with that kind of investment."
Kundy also spoke highly of Sancho's performance on the pitch: "Sancho has unlimited possibilities, and his performance against Tottenham proved it. His partnership with Cucurelia and that crucial goal have raised expectations for his future. If the score had been 0-2 at halftime, the coaches' speeches would have been very different."
Facing Sancho's future, Kundy is full of longing: "I believe Sancho will go to the next level, his potential and ability are impressive. I'm looking forward to his future performance and firmly believe that he will continue to write brilliantly at Chelsea."
