On the eve of their UEFA Cup clash against Manchester United, Pilsen Victory midfielder Schulz gave a press conference in which he shared both his longing for the upcoming showdown and his thoughts on the Red Devils.
Despite United hovering at the tail end of the Premier League table, Schultz doesn't see this status quo as a disadvantage to be ignored. He believes that every team in the Premier League has its own strength and competitive potential. He revealed that Pilsen will stick to their tactical style of play, just like their solid performance in the UEFA Cup, going all out, running aggressively and aiming to cause problems for their opponents. Schulz also admitted that the game will require a bit of luck at times, but he is confident that good fortune may come their way.
When it comes to Manchester United, Schulz is full of respect for Wayne Rooney, the legendary player. He recalls watching United games during his childhood, and Rooney's style of play left an indelible impression on him. Rooney's all-out effort inspired him to keep pursuing progress. Schulz revealed that he tried to imitate Rooney's kicking technique, which became a great inspiration in his soccer career. Nonetheless, Schulz also said that he is now more focused on the team he is in and his individual performances, and hopes to bring more contributions to Pilsen Victory in the UEFA Cup.
