Albanian coach Silvinho recently said that the upcoming Euro debut will bring unprecedented psychological pressure on Italy. He forcefully pointed out that despite the difficulties Albania had encountered in the qualifying rounds, they were ready to fight on the Euro stage.
Silvinho went on to mention that Italy, the ancient kingdom of soccer, has always maintained an exceptional level of competitiveness. Citing the 2018 World Cup draw between Brazil and Switzerland as an example, he warned Italy that a loss in the first match would make the subsequent journey difficult.
However, Silvinho also confessed that although Albania are not under as much pressure as Italy, they are feeling the same tension of the tournament. He revealed that the team as a whole is in good shape, with the players giving their all in training and showing remarkable fighting spirit.
Talking about his coaching career, Silvinho recalled his time in Italy, saying that he had gained a lot during his time as an assistant coach at Inter Milan and praised the tactical system of Italian soccer.
With the Europa League getting closer, Silvinho and Albania are ready to go and looking forward to showing their strength in the tournament and taking on the big guns like Italy.
