Leading Brazilian media outlet UOL has revealed that Premier League super team Liverpool have set their sights on Brighton's Brazilian-born striker João Pedro as their main attraction for next season.

João Pedro, 23, who got his start with Brazilian club Fluminense, moved to Brighton in the summer of 2023 for a transfer fee of £28 million. The Brazilian international has been in eye-catching form for Brighton so far this season, making seven starts in nine matches, contributing four goals and three assists in a remarkable attacking efficiency.

Liverpool are confident in the future potential of João Pedro and intend to use him as a key reinforcement in the team's future attacking line, sources have revealed. In order to lock down the Brazilian shot-stopper as early as possible, Liverpool may even start talks with Brighton as early as January next year, in an effort to lock down their target before the transfer window opens, while dealing with competition from other potential rivals.

João Pedro's fantastic performances at Brighton have earned him praise in the industry. Liverpool's favor also reaffirms his great potential in European football. However, whether this transfer will go through or not depends on the negotiation between the two clubs. Fans will continue to pay attention to this transfer and expect Liverpool to bring more outstanding players to inject new vitality and strength into the team.
