Argentine media outlet TyC Sports has revealed that Premier League rivals Liverpool are eyeing River Plate's 17-year-old star Mastantono for a transfer fee of up to £40 million.

Liverpool are reportedly exploring the possibility of paying that £40 million release clause in Mastantono's contract in a bid to bring in the midfield talent with unlimited potential. This season, Mastantono played 38 games for River Plate, making 11 starts, scoring 2 goals and assisting 3 times, revealing his talent and potential.
