In an exclusive interview with Goodison News, former Everton scout Brian King has given insight into the current situation of Everton midfield star Alli. Despite the fact that Alli is still actively involved in the team's training routines as he seeks a chance to extend his contract after it expires in the summer, the outlook does not appear to be clear.

Brian King was blunt: "Ali's journey to a contract extension seems to be getting more and more rocky. We are eager to see him return to the field and prove his worth in action, and then we can make a decision on whether or not to extend his contract based on his performance."

He went on to analyze, "In order to prove his competitive status, Alli must play a full six months of matches for the U21 ladder at least. This period of time is crucial for him because only through such a real-life test will the club be able to assess whether he deserves a new contract."

Brian King spoke highly of Ali's past performances, "Ali was once one of the best on the pitch and his talent and strength should not be underestimated. I believe that as long as he can return to his best, he still has the potential to return to the top and recreate his former glory."

Although Alli is working hard to get back into training and is eager to continue his career at Everton, Brian King's words reveal the club's cautious approach to his future. Ali's performances on the U21 ladder over the next six months will have a direct bearing on the direction of his future fortunes.
