Manchester United star Schmeichel talks about Liverpool goalkeeper Keleher on NBC Sports program

On NBC Sports, Manchester United's legendary goalkeeper, Alex Schmeichel, gave an in-depth analysis of the latest developments regarding Liverpool's young goalkeeper, Keleher. He expressed his regret that Kelleher was not able to play against Girona, but at the same time, he was confident that the young talent is ready to take on the role of the team's starting goalkeeper.

Schmeichel elaborated further, "As impressive as Kelleher has been this season, it is a real shame that he missed today's game. Some people might bring up his past mistakes, but there are always things that go beyond the pale in soccer. I remember interviewing him after Liverpool's defeat to Real Madrid and I was impressed by his resilience, clear sense of duty and ambition."

Regarding the future of Liverpool's goalkeeper position, Schmeichel analyzed: "With Mamadashvili about to join the team next summer, the rumors of Alisson's departure continue, and there is news that he may go to the Saudi League to develop. The competition between Kelleher and Alisson will become more and more heated. However, judging by Kelleher's progress so far, he has shown an excellent start."

Schmeichel concluded by emphasizing, "I believe that Liverpool already see Kelleher as a top Championship goalkeeper and they will never give him up easily. Therefore, I firmly believe that Kelleher will stay in the team and may even be Liverpool's starting goalkeeper in the future."
