On the night of March 22, 2003, China's national soccer team met Singapore on the road and played to a 2-2 draw. After the game, Singapore captain Harris Harun's dual role - as a midfielder and a real estate agent - became a hot topic of discussion among fans.
The 33-year-old, who has made 102 appearances for the Singapore national team with his stellar performances, currently plays for the Lion City Mariners FC and holds the position of captain.
Harris Harun's association with the Chinese Super League dates back to 2008, when he suffered a torn ligament that cut his career short for a year.In 2010, Harris went to Shanghai Shenhua for a trial after being introduced by a Singaporean coach, but ultimately was unsuccessful in signing a contract.
Off the court, Harris also works part-time as a real estate agent, and on March 1, he updated his social media accounts with a photo showing him and his wife's achievement of becoming "Gold Medal Sales". Harris said in the accompanying text: "In the off-season, my wife and I work hard to provide for our family, thanks to my closest partner on the court. Thank you to our clients for their trust. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any business needs."
