With the 2023 season coming to an end, the Dalian and Shenzhen teams slipped to China A. The Shenzhen team locked up the relegation seat early, and the strength of the Chinese Super League is far from the Chinese Super League, so it makes sense to retire from the Chinese Super League stage. In contrast, the departure of the Dalian people is more saddening, because they still have a chance of survival until the last round. Even at the end of the match against Seaport, if they could have seized the penalty kicks, Dalian People would have been expected to squeeze out Nantong Zhiyun's relegation success, however, they lost the penalty kicks, and had no choice but to accept the fate of relegation. This is undoubtedly a fatal blow to the Dalian Ren club, the team faces the risk of disintegration.

It wasn't until the FA announced the first batch of access lists that the name of Dalian Ren surfaced, a scene that once again validated rumors of the team's dissolution. There is still a second list, but many fans no longer have expectations for the revival of the Dalian Ren. On January 17th, the Dalian Ren officially stated that despite the club's best efforts, it was unable to continue its operations, with debts pending and league qualification not being preserved, so it could only reluctantly bid farewell to the professional game. The club also expressed its gratitude to all supporters.

Looking back at Dalian's soccer history, it began in July 2009, when Dalian's Albion FC was announced. Despite starting out in a lower division, Albion quickly rose to prominence based on the solid foundation of Dalian soccer, winning the China B League title in the 2010 season before being promoted to the China A League. The following year, Albion entered the Chinese Super League (CSL) as the top team in the first division. However, the brutal competition in the Chinese Super League, coupled with a lack of funds and poor reinforcements, caused the team's strength to fall short of standards, and they returned to the First Division after only three seasons.

Albion held on for one season before welcoming a new sponsor. In December 2015, Dalian Yifang FC took over and increased its investment. Two seasons later, Dalian People returned to the top by winning the First Division again. In 2019, the club changed its name to Dalian People before the implementation of neutral name regulations.

Despite being relegated in the 2021 season, Dalian managed to bounce back with miraculous additions, and despite the financial problems that have plagued the team and the lack of foreign aid at one point, and despite a season of adjustments that improved the financial situation, the team was still unfortunately relegated in the 2023 season. Now that the team has completely left the scene, Dalian soccer is in dire need of a new army to revitalize the team with a new look.
