The news went viral, with Dalian soccer icon Zhu Ting taking to social media platforms to disclose the remarkable news that the name of Dalian People Football Club did not appear on the first list of admissions announced.
Zhu Ting said bluntly on social media platforms, "We are not in the first list and the live broadcast plan has been put on hold, yet life still needs to move forward. Every step in life is ultimately stepped out by oneself."
Looking back at the 2023 season, Dalian were unlucky to finish at the bottom of the Chinese Super League (CSL) campaign and were eventually relegated to the Central League. As previously reported, a total of 50 clubs qualified for the third tier of Chinese soccer last season. However, it is staggering that nine clubs were not included in the first access list by the FA, including one Super League club, three S1 clubs and five S2 clubs.
