In the winter prelude to 2023, one of the stars of Croatian soccer, Osijek's midfield soul, 27-year-old Ivan Fioric, marked another turning point in his career on December 18th. The young talent, who had made a name for himself in the youth camp of Dinamo Zagreb, announced that he would embark on a journey to the Chinese Super League in the uniform of Tianjin Jinmen Tigers.

This news, like a ray of warm sunshine in winter, illuminated the stage of attraction for the new season of the Chinese Super League. Osijek's official announcement showed that Fioric had amicably terminated his contract with the team and joined Tianjin Teda as a free agent. The central midfielder was overflowing with commitment to the future: "I signed a two-year deal with the Tianjin Tigers, and on January 3 we will start a new campaign of preparation. My dream is to be able to put down roots there for longer, beyond the years of my contract."

Ivan Fioric, a name that at the age of 27 has a rich soccer story behind it. From Dinamo Zagreb to Lokomotiv Zagreb to Henck, Larnaca and Krakowija, he has traveled all over Europe.He joined Osijek as a free agent in the summer of 2021 and has already made 15 appearances for the team this season, contributing 2 goals and 1 assist. According to the latest figures, he has a market value of 850,000 euros.

Despite outstanding performances in Croatia's national teams at all levels, U21 and below, Fioric has never been able to earn a call-up to the adult national team. Now, he will bring his full blood to write a new legend in the Super League.
