Tracing the classic battle in the history of Dalian soccer: on December 4, 2004, the first year of the Chinese Super League, a passionate battle unfolded between Shide and Shenzhen Jianlibao. In this 22nd round of the final battle, both sides back and forth, and finally ended in a 2-2 draw, Shide players Jangovic and Zhang Peng respectively.

On that day, Shide's team challenged Shenzhen Jianlibao, who won the championship two rounds ahead of schedule, on the road. Although both teams are facing the plight of salary arrears, the enthusiasm of the game did not diminish because of the plight. However, the trailing Shide team did not give up. In the 66th minute, Jangovic took a free kick and Zhang Peng scored with a header to bring the score to 1-2. Three minutes later, Li Weifeng was fouled in the penalty area, and Jangovic equalized the score at 2-2 with a goal.

In the end, the two sides ended this wonderful match with a 2-2 draw. Dalian Shide team showed tenacious fighting spirit in this game, although failed to win, but kept the undefeated record against Shenzhen Jianlibao on the road.
