The annual event of the Chinese Football Association's professional league was held in Suzhou on Nov. 26, focusing on discussing the eligibility and preparatory details for the 2024 season.

Looking ahead to the new season, the Chinese Super League and Chinese League A will both expand to 16 teams, while the Chinese League B will welcome 20 teams. 2025 season, the Chinese League B will follow the plan to steadily expand the scale.

In terms of scheduling, the three-tier league will complete its access audit ahead of schedule and strive to be fully operational in March. Specifically, the Super League from March 1 to November 2, 30 rounds of double round-robin home and away showdowns; the Central League from March 9 to November 3, the same 30 rounds of double round-robin; in the B League from March 23 to October 20, the whole year 28 rounds of double round-robin North and South 18 rounds of double round-robin group and relegation group double round-robin 10 rounds.

At the policy level, the foreign aid quota remains stable, but a no foreign aid policy will be implemented in the Chinese B League.

The 2024 FFA Cup campaign will go through eight regular rounds, while the qualifying rounds will be held in January, involving the top two teams from the member associations to determine the 12 teams that will advance to the first round.The Super Cup for the 2024 season is slated to be staged on February 25th or 26th.

Soccer Daily revealed that the transfer policy for the new season will prohibit off-site transfers, but may be relaxed in the future based on certain conditions. The club's naming rights will be based on the principle of neutral names, which is still in the planning stage, and it remains to be seen whether it will eventually be implemented.
