Challenging warm-ups and a long road to preparation

In order to solve the problem of insufficient number of domestic high-level matches, Xu Genbao made a decision in advance: first overseas training. in September, Xu Genbao, who had just recovered from injuries, played a number of high-quality warm-up matches in Ulsan, South Korea, and the team gained a lot.
In October, Xu Genbao adopted the "small play big" strategy, four warm-up matches. Among them, the first two games with a year older than their own age Shanghai U21 ladder team; the third game, the challenge of the Super League table top three Shanghai Shenhua.
Despite the fact that the under-18 amateurs had won and lost against the Chinese Super League professionals, Xu Genbao asked Wu Jingui to send out the main players so that the young players could feel the atmosphere of the Chinese Super League. Wu Jingui readily agreed, allowing all the main foreign players to play.
Xu Haoyang, Liu Ruowan vanadium and other Genbao base disciples played well in Shenhua team, such as Cao Jieding, Aidin, Zhu Chenjie, Jiang Shenglong and so on. Xu Genbao shook hands with these disciples and praised their professionalism.
In the first half, both teams played with their starting lineups, with Shanghai U18s trailing 0-2; in the second half, both teams replaced their substitutes. The non-professional youth players had obvious disadvantages in body, strength, technique and ability, and Shanghai U18 team finally lost by a big score.
Despite the victory, Xu Genbao was still on hand to watch the game, giving thumbs up to the familiar Shenhua players and lamenting the professionalism of Xu Genbao's base over the decades.

"In 2007, Zhang Linlin and Cao Miao Ding were only 18 years old and Wu Lei was only 16, so we forced the newly merged Shenhua to a draw." Xu Genbao was outspoken, lamenting the change in Shenhua's strength. Today, Wu Jingui has pinched the team into shape, with changes to the overall team shape and formation.
