In an unfortunate piece of news from the soccer world, Tianjin Jinmen Tigers player Wang Qiuming had to return to his hometown of Tianjin to seek professional treatment for a worsening injury. The move puts his appearance in the upcoming 36-team Asian qualifying round of the World Cup in November out of reach, and the athlete's dream of a full season's work is dashed.

Back on October 17th, when the morning light began to shine, Wang Qiuming and his teammate Xie Weijun embarked on a journey back to Tianjin from Dalian in the far northeast. They had both played in a friendly match against Uzbekistan the day before, with Wang Qiuming starting, but unfortunately suffered a torn collateral ligament in his left knee during the match. The protective gear became his traveling companion, aiming to slow down the deterioration of the injury.

After returning to Tianjin, Wang Qiuming immediately stepped into the hospital again to receive a comprehensive examination. Based on the results of the previous diagnosis, the medical team of Tianjin Jinmen Tigers will be fully responsible for his treatment and recovery. Whether it's the upcoming three rounds of the Chinese Super League or the national team's Asian tournament, Wang's absence is almost a foregone conclusion, which is not only a blow to his career, but also a major loss for the Tianjin Jinmen Tigers and the national team.
