Recently, the Swiss Football Observatory (CIES), a prestigious sports analyst, conducted an exhaustive study of the top soccer leagues in 48 countries and territories around the world, collecting age statistics on 20,779 professional players.
The analysis report reveals that the average age of players in China's Super League is high, showing a clear trend of "aging".

In terms of the age structure of the players, the average age of the Chinese Super League is 28.41 years old, making it the oldest league in the world. It is followed by the Japanese J-League, Saudi Arabian League and Greek Super League.
At the club level, the average age of Qingdao Hainiu in the Chinese Super League is 31.48 years old, topping all the teams surveyed. Chengdu Rongcheng, on the other hand, ranked fifth with an average age of 29.80 years.
In the European leagues, La Liga is ranked 10th, Serie A 21st, the Premier League 22nd, the Bundesliga 23rd and Ligue 1 38th.
In terms of team lineup stability, Shanghai Port and Shandong Taishan of the Chinese Super League ranked in the top two on the list, with the average playing time of both players exceeding five seasons.
According to statistics, the average playing time of Shanghai Port players is 5.39 seasons, Shandong Taishan is 5.03 seasons, followed by Spanish clubs Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.
