In the Qingdao Sea Bulls team, the sons of two famous Chinese soccer players are in the spotlight: 24-year-old Liu Chaoyang and 23-year-old Hao Haiyi. Liu Chaoyang's father is the former Sichuan soccer flagship Liu Bin, while Hao Haiyi inherited his father Hao Wei's mantle at Shandong Luneng.

In last season's Shaanxi China A-League campaign in Chang'an, Liu Chaoyang put in a solid performance, contributing seven goals and one assist in 27 games. Despite not getting many starts, his strength and Liu Bin's reputation made him expected to get his foot in the door at Qingdao Hainiu. However, it turned out to be a surprise that he was in a rather embarrassing situation in Qingdao Sea Bulls, only getting 3 chances to play in the center of the field after 27 rounds of league games, and was reduced to the fringe of the team.

Hao Haiyi's experience with Qingdao Hainiu is even more dismal in comparison. Since joining the team on loan in April, Hao has failed to earn a single minute of playing time in the 27 rounds of the Chinese Super League. He seems to have no presence in the tactical system of Spanish coach Antonio Gomez.

Despite what happened to Liu Chaoyang, Hao Haiyi seems to have been completely ignored by Antonio Gomez. Aside from Hao Wei's personal connections, Hao Haiyi's ability was mediocre and his experience in the Chinese Super League was lacking. Even at Shandong Luneng, where his father Hao Wei coached, he rarely made an appearance. Statistics show that he has only represented Shandong Luneng in the FA Cup in his career and has no experience in the Chinese Super League.

Such a player, who lacks experience in the Chinese Super League and has mediocre ability, has had a particularly embarrassing encounter with Qingdao Hainiu. However, this may be the fate he deserves. Hao Haiyi is likely to be returned to Shandong Luneng by Qingdao Hainiu at the end of this season, and his future challenges in soccer will be even tougher.
