Soccer news from Brazil has revealed that Shandong Taishan's foreigner Leonardo, a rising soccer star at the age of 25, will be taking a short-term rental to another team in the Chinese Super League, Changchun Yatai.
Leonardo will continue to be offered a short-term rental by Shandong Taishan, where he will wear Changchun Yatai's kit on a season-long contract. This decision has forced the Brazilian club São Paulo to abandon plans to bring in the player.
Looking back at Leonardo's career, he joined Shandong Taishan as a free agent in the 2021 season, and despite only appearing in eight games for the team, he was quite impressive, earning four starts and contributing a goal. In last year's season, Leonardo played on loan for Ulsan Hyundai, scoring 14 goals for the team and helping them regain the K-League title after 17 years, thanks to his excellent goal-scoring efficiency.
