Sun Shilin, Zhu Jianrong, Qin Sheng, Jiao Che, Jin Jingdao and other soccer figures have been caught in the net, followed by Chen Xuyuan's son-in-law, who has also been taken away for scrutiny. According to Li Xuan, the head of Football Daily, Chen Xuyuan, a senior member of the Football Association (FA), is under investigation for suspected major disciplinary issues, which is nothing new in the Chinese football world.

Once Chen Xuyuan's son's investigation into his involvement in the case came to light, his signing scandal with other clubs also surfaced! Hearing about this movement, Shanghai Port Club was in a state of panic.

On March 19th, Li Xuan, the head of Football Daily, further revealed that Ding Yong, an official of Tianjin Quanjian (Tianjin Tianhai), had set his sights on Wei Zhen, a talented defender from Shanghai, during his tenure. Ding Yong intended to pay Wei Zhen a lot of money to recruit him, and to this end, Tianjin Quanjian directly wired 50 million yuan into Wei Zhen's personal account.

The large sum of money tantalized Wei Zhen's parents, who did not hesitate to start assisting Wei Zhen to get out of the shackles of Shanghai harbor.

However, Chen Xuyuan was against Wei Zhen's transfer and denounced the faithless attitude of "golden dollar soccer"!

It is reported that in order to facilitate Wei Zhen's transfer, Wei Zhen's parents even kneeled down in public at the site of the Chinese Super League meeting to the Shanghai port executives, pleading for release.

However, in the end, Shanghai Port firmly rejected Wei Zhen's transfer request, and Wei Zhen failed to successfully transfer to Tianjin Quanjian. Wei Zhen's parents did not return the huge transfer fee of 50 million dollars, and Wei Zhen and Tianjin Quanjian (Tianjin Tianhai Music Department) were therefore in a contractual dispute.

Currently, 25 million dollars of property in Wei Zhen's home has been frozen by the Tianjin court.

Wei Zhen (魏震), born in February 1997, is a native of Lu'an, Anhui Province, who plays as a defender and currently plays for Shanghai Harbor FC.

Wei Zhen was named to China's U23 men's soccer roster in March 2018 and again in January 2022 for the latest edition of the Chinese men's soccer team.
