Recently, Beijing Youth Daily exposed the remarkable news that the Football Association has taken point deduction measures against Hunan Xiangtao.

This decision is not for the relegation group of tournaments, but directly affects the competitiveness of Hunan Xiangtao in the second stage of the Chinese Super League.

The FA officially released a detailed punishment announcement today, stating that Hebei, Wuhan Changjiang and Hunan Xiangtao (in the Chinese B level) failed to solve the problem of salary arrears in accordance with the regulations, and therefore each of them will be deducted 3 points for the 2022 season.

It is worth noting that due to the difference in the system between the Chinese Super League and the Chinese B League, the points deducted from Hunan Xiangtao were actually the points they earned in the first group stage of the Chinese Super League this season, according to Beiqing News. Although they only earned three points at that time, the deduction will not affect their points status in the relegation group in the second stage.
