On October 19, a news report from the Beijing Youth Daily stated that despite the CFA imposing a tough timeframe on clubs to resolve at least 70% of their salary arrears by October 31, however, four to five clubs are expected to struggle to meet this requirement.
Recall that in April this year, the CFA formally introduced the club wage arrears solutions and penalties, clearly requiring clubs to resolve at least 30% of the outstanding wages before July 31, 70% of the outstanding wages before October 31, and the full amount of outstanding wages before December 31, to resolve the problem.
This week, the Football Association released a circular through official channels on the implementation of guidelines related to the 2022 working league season with all efforts, which re-emphasized that all clubs must resolve at least 70% of salary arrears by October 31 and are required to submit repayment vouchers within the stipulated date.
It has been revealed that there are already four to five clubs that may not be able to complete the task of settling salary arrears on time, and they are facing possible deductions in league points and other punitive measures as a result.
