On October 16th, a news from Beijing Youth Daily was buzzing: in view of the harsh winter climate in the north of China, many Chinese Super League teams located in northern cities may temporarily relocate their home stadiums to southern cities with more pleasant climate at the end of the league. The change will affect several teams, including the Shanghai Twins, Changchun Yatai and Hebei.

An insider from one of the Shanghai clubs revealed, "The bitter cold of the winter in the north is simply unbearable, and the climate and ground conditions are not ideal for soccer matches, so we have to consider relocating our home stadium to the south." Just before Shenzhen clubs announced that they would move their home stadium to the Nanhai Sports Center in Foshan, two Shanghai clubs, Shenhua and Seaport, had already begun to explore the possibility of changing their third-party home stadiums.

As the organizer of the tournament, the preparatory group of the Chinese Football Association, taking into account the practical difficulties of the clubs, initially decided to assist in the search for a third-party home stadium suitable for winter matches. Not long ago, the task force has gone to a southern city that has hosted large-scale sporting events to conduct site visits, and the city's conditions for hosting the tournament also fully meet the requirements of the Chinese Super League tournament.

At present, in addition to the Shanghai two teams temporarily stationed in Dalian, Changchun Yatai, Hebei team and other northern teams may also adjust the home field. It is reported that the Haikou tournament hosting conditions are quite superior, but with the arrival of the tourist season, the local hotel reception and other services are under pressure. This is one of the reasons why the tournament organizers are looking at other southern cities, and the new venue is expected to be settled in the near future.
