Recently, the Korean press has been tracking the latest moves of Oscar, the harbor's foreign aid worker. One report reveals that Oscar is planning to "break free" from China next January, despite his unsuccessful transfer attempts during the summer transfer window.

The report mentions that in early July, Oscar sought to return to Brazil to play football, for reasons other than family factors, the financial woes of the Chinese Super League also put him under pressure, and he made a resolute decision to leave, even at the expense of his income.

However, this wish did not come true. Oscar returned to Brazil, reached a personal agreement with Flamengo FC and was publicly photographed in a Flamengo shirt. However, Shanghai Seaport rejected the transfer request, resulting in the two sides failing to reach an agreement.

Discontent then erupted and Oscar chose to stay in Brazil for training while Shanghai Harbour demanded his return. The club even said that they would continue to pay his salary even if he was not involved in the game. But Oscar adamantly refused and he is still actively seeking a transfer opportunity.

Oscar even rejected the Shanghai seaport's request to return to the team in December, and is hell-bent on a move to Flamengo, stating that he is willing to give up an annual salary of 24 million euros. His contract expires in 2024.

Oscar joined Shanghai Harbor in 2017, when the Chinese Super League was seen as a retirement place for retired players. Oscar shocked the world with this choice. During his stint, he scored 51 goals and contributed 94 assists in 173 games.
