Today, the club officially announced that Li Wei Feng, former international footballer and former Tianjin Tianhai team spirit, officially took over the coaching whip and became the head coach of the first-team, while Zhao Junzhe assumed the position of technical director.

After careful consideration by the club's management, we solemnly announce that Li Wei Feng will be the head coach of Guangzhou City's first team and Zhao Junzhe will be the technical director while stepping down as the acting head coach of the first team.
Li Wei Feng, a player who has left a colorful mark on the history of Chinese soccer, is the player who has made the most appearances with his 112 appearances for the national team, and is the only men's footballer who has played in both the World Cup and the Olympics. Since his retirement, he has held a number of positions at Tianjin Tianhai Football Club, including deputy general manager, team leader and head of the coaching team, and in the 2019 season, he was tasked with leading Tianjin Tianhai to relegation.
