With the continued impact of the epidemic, the 13th round of the 2022 Chinese Super League has been changed, with the match scheduled for August 17th at 20:00 forced to be rescheduled to August 15th at 20:00, the sudden change in schedule and the cancellation of the flight from Changchun to Haikou forced Changchun Yatai players to change their schedule and fly to Beijing. The sudden change in schedule, coupled with the cancellation of flights from Changchun to Haikou, forced Changchun Yatai's players to change their itinerary and divert to Beijing to fly to Haikou, where they arrived at lunchtime on August 13th to prepare for their match against Tianjin Jinmen Tigers without stopping.

In the face of the escalation of epidemic control in Hainan, the six Chinese Super League (CSL) teams that hosted the 11th round of matches in Haikou were stranded on the island, and the schedule of matches was adjusted accordingly. Changchun Yatai's home match against Chengdu Rongcheng, originally scheduled for August 13, was postponed, while the away match against Tianjin Jinmen Tigers, originally planned for August 17, was moved up to two days. As a result of this series of changes, Changchun Yatai's original plan to fly from Changchun to Haikou on August 13th was blocked, and instead decided to arrive in Haikou one day earlier through a transit in Beijing.

At 18:30 on August 12, Changchun Yatai players took the club bus to the airport after completing a training session at Jingyue Base. Before departure, the club's general manager Zeng Jiao Feng and other managers personally saw off the team, expecting them to have a rewarding journey in Haikou. According to the scheduled itinerary, the team will have a short stay in Beijing for one night and then fly to Haikou in the next morning.

It is worth mentioning that Changchun Yatai players Tan Long and Dili Yimiti, who followed the Chinese national soccer team to complete 7+3 days of isolation in Haikou, were able to return directly to the team in Haikou despite not being able to return to Changchun as originally planned, but were also exempted from the long-distance trekking due to the adjustment of the fixture schedule.
