With the first phase of the 2022 Chinese Super League season coming to an end, the Wuhan Three Towns team returned to the Optics Valley soccer training base last week after a short break, ready to prepare for the second phase of the Chinese Super League, which will start at the beginning of August.
During the week-long intensive training, the first team practiced a rotation pattern of one-day single practice and one-day double practice. In the morning, the players trained hard for core strength and body coordination under the guidance of the fitness coach.
In view of the recent hot weather in Wuhan, the field training was adjusted to be held in the evening. The medical team prepared sufficient heat-prevention supplies to ensure that the players could replenish their energy in time. Under the careful arrangement of the coaching team, the players of the three towns efficiently completed all the confrontation training and physical reserves, and showed excellent competitive level.
Head Coach Pedro spoke highly of his players' recent performances and shared his team's preparation strategy, "The players are in pretty good shape, and with plenty of time before the next round of matches, our current preparation focuses on fitness improvement. With the return of the home-and-away system in the Chinese Super League and the generally high temperatures around the world, we need to quickly adapt to the climate at home in Wuhan and adjust ourselves quickly for away games."
Recently, the three towns of Wuhan returned from vacation foreign aid Stanchou, Wallace, Edmilson, Davidson and Malcolm have successfully arrived in the country, and has carried out a few days of epidemic isolation. During the quarantine period, the coaching team customized individual training plans for each foreign aid, and strictly supervised their indoor training to ensure that the five foreign aiders can quickly integrate into the team after the end of the quarantine. With their return, Wuhan's preparations will be more organized, and the team will be able to meet the challenges of the next Chinese Super League with a full lineup.
