Fabricio Romano, a leading authority on European soccer transfers, has broken the news that Shanghai Harbour's Australian star Mooy is on the verge of joining Scottish Premier League side Celtic as a free agent.
Romano further revealed that Celtic have agreed a no-transfer-fee deal with Mooy on a contract until June 2023 and that Mooy has the right to opt for a one-year extension. The transfer deal is said to be finalized this week.
Mui has played for Bolton, Manchester City, Huddersfield and Brighton in the Premier League, as well as clubs in Scotland and Australia during his career, and in September 2020, he officially joined Shanghai Harbour. During Ferreira's tenure, Mooy was a key player for the team, however Ferreira's departure cost Mooy a number of appearances. During the epidemic, and with the call-up of the Australian national team, Mui only played 14 games for Seaport last season, and this season has been a non-starter in the Chinese Super League.
Recently, Muy's contract with Shanghai Seaport has reached a termination agreement, and his free agent status has made him a hot commodity in the transfer market. Meanwhile, foreigner Lopez has already left the team, while rumors of Oscar, the core of the team, are also swirling.
