In the morning sunshine of July 18th, Guangzhou City Football Club announced that after in-depth communication and negotiation with the player Chan Chun Lok and the Hong Kong Football Association, the club has officially agreed to his request to play in the 2022 East Asian Cup. Early this morning, Chan Chun Lok will embark on his journey, departing from Guangzhou and flying directly to Nagoya, Japan, to meet up with the Hong Kong team.

Back on July 15, the Hong Kong Football Association officially released the final 26-man roster for the East Asian Cup, with Guangzhou City player Chan Chun Lok's name on the list. Immediately following the July 19, Hong Kong team will usher in a fierce confrontation with Japan. Chan Chun Lok, a Hong Kong midfielder born in January 1996, has represented the team in nine matches this season since his transfer to Guangzhou City in July 2018, contributing one goal.

In the grand finale of this year's East Asian Cup, the Chinese men's soccer team will have a summit clash with Hong Kong.
