On June 4, 2022, in the first round of the Chinese Super League, the match between Shanghai Seaport and Wuhan Yangtze River was particularly eye-catching. However, in the midst of this exciting duel, my club player Xu Xin, after being expelled with a red card, destroyed the facilities of the stadium in a fit of rage, a move that is undoubtedly a desecration of the spirit of soccer.
This behavior of Xu Xin has not only brought reputational damage to the club, but also cast a shadow on the overall image of the Chinese Super League. For this reason, we would like to express our deepest apologies to all the fans who care about and support us, as well as the Dalian Region. At the same time, in accordance with Shanghai Seaport's team rules and regulations, we will deal with Xu Xin's inappropriate behavior as follows:
1. Publicly criticize Xu Xin within the team as a warning to others;
2. Require Xu Xin to engage in deep introspection and write a self-examination;
3. order Xu Xin to make full compensation for the damaged facilities and impose a fine of the corresponding amount.
Shanghai Harbour Football Club will take this incident as a lesson to further strengthen the construction of match style and discipline, and strictly manage the team.
