With the new Chinese Super League season kicking off this Friday, reports indicate that teams are entering the tournament zone with the same strategy of trying to minimize participation costs. To that end, the CFA, the CFL preparatory team and the cities where the zones are located have also given teams practical financial assistance to ensure that the costs of food, lodging, training, competitions, epidemiological protection and security are all borne by the organizers while the teams are in the zones.
According to Beiqing, the Super League districts have the capacity to receive up to 50 people, and 40 rooms (including three meals) have been allocated to each team, and members of the team must stay in a closed environment during the tournament, which means that all activities will be centralized in the closed tournament area. At the same time, the teams will be subject to the necessary epidemiological tests, and the tournament area will also be subject to strict environmental disinfection and other anti-epidemic measures in accordance with the regulations.
In terms of training configurations, each of the 18 Super League teams will be provided with an independent training venue, chosen in order of last season's ranking, which can be used for three hours per day free of charge, or at their own expense if additional venues are required. In addition, the hotel's conference hall is open to all teams and can be used by advance reservation only.
Although the standards of the three tournament zones of Dalian, Meizhou and Haikou vary, all things considered, each person's daily expenses in the tournament zone may reach an average of 1,000 yuan, and the total cost may be as high as 36 million yuan.
