At today's event, the preparatory team of China's professional soccer league comprehensively analyzed the preparatory process for the 2022 season of the Chinese Super League, covering key topics such as scheduling, competition rules and anti-epidemic measures, and conducted in-depth exchanges with the media. At the meeting, Shi Qiang, head of the preparatory team of the CFL, Liu Jun, deputy head of the team and chairman of the Chinese Super League Company, as well as Guo Bingyan, head of competition, and Liu Jie, head of operations, and other core members of the team were all present.

The new season of the Chinese Super League will be unveiled simultaneously on June 3 in the three major cities of Haikou, Meizhou and Dalian, and the tournament will be divided into four phases, which are expected to span from June 3 to November 9, with a specific schedule of 10+8+8+8 pattern.

Regarding the schedule of the FA Cup, Guo Bingyan revealed that the matches of the FA Cup will be arranged after the end of the league and during the World Cup in Qatar, the country will host the FA Cup tournament.

Facing the question of whether to resume home and away matches this year, Shi Qiang responded that the original plan was to resume home and away matches, but due to the impact of the epidemic, it had to be changed to a tournament system. The first phase of the Chinese Super League has already adopted the match system, and once conditions permit, the preparatory team will endeavor to resume some of the home-and-away matches as a precautionary measure and to prepare for the future home-and-away matches in the event of an epidemic.
