On the late afternoon of May 23, an event was about to take place. The Chinese Super League officials unveiled that the much-anticipated 2022 Chinese Safety Super League will kick off on June 3, with matches to be played in three famous cities - Dalian, Haikou and Meizhou. However, no specific divisions or detailed fixtures have been officially announced yet.
Under the strict anti-epidemic measures, the Harbour Team arrived at the Dalian tournament on May 19th and had its first training session after being released from quarantine. Currently, the whole team is practicing twice a day at a high intensity pace to improve their physical fitness and technical and tactical levels in all aspects under the careful guidance of the head coach.
The Harbour Team has registered a whopping 35-member squad this time, including many international players and a foreign striker who were brought in during the winter window. Along with reasonable reinforcements, Harbour Team has also selected a number of potential stars in the team, who will make their mark in the forwards, midfield and backline. The club expects to give more opportunities to young players to help them grow, and hopes that more first-team players will come from the Harbour's youth training system in the future, so as to realize true "self-sufficiency".
Compared to previous years, this season is undoubtedly more challenging for the under-prepared Harbour Team. However, all the players are ready to meet the challenge and give their best for the upcoming Chinese Super League. At the same time, the club is looking forward to the "Harbor Youth Army" to seize the opportunity to hone and improve themselves in the real world.
