On May 24, Chongqing Two Rivers Athletic Football Club released heavy news that the team officially announced its withdrawal from the league and disbanded. Well-known reporter Lumi revealed that Chongqing head coach Zhang Wailong personally wrote a heartfelt farewell letter to all the players, staff and fans to express their heartfelt thanks.

With the helplessness and grief of the reality, I, as the head coach of the team, would like to extend my deepest gratitude to all the relevant people who have weathered the storm with the team, as well as to the passionate Chongqing fans and the fans of the whole country.
Looking back at the dissolution announcements for 2020, 2021 and up to this year, our players, staff and all team members have collectively gone through countless hardships and dangers. In particular, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the restaurant servers, stadium janitors, laundry workers, etc. who quietly contributed to the team for their selfless dedication when the basic cost of living could not be guaranteed.
The resilience, hard work and dedication shown by all the members of the Chongqing team have transmitted countless positive energies to the society. We hope that the Chongqing team can pass on this spirit of "one team, one family".
