In today's statement, Chongqing Two Rivers Athletic Football Club officials revealed that training for all age ladders has gradually returned to normal to ensure that young athletes are not affected.

Officials emphasized:

Education cannot be poor and children cannot suffer! In the face of the decision to urgently suspend training the day before yesterday, we are in the face of helplessness and reality to make a choice. Last night, all the youth training coaches and administrative team held an emergency meeting and unanimously decided: no matter what the future direction of the club, we have to stick to the end! From today onwards, all ladder training will gradually return to normal, and we must not let the children's learning and growth suffer any delay!

Players from Chongqing Liangjiang Athletic staged another strike on May 17 to express their dissatisfaction after failing to receive this year's wages so far, according to Football Daily.

After more than five months of waiting, the players have still not been paid their salaries for this year. Some of the club's employees have not been paid for more than a year, with the shortest being half a year in arrears.

From the 16th, the players stopped going to the training ground and some of them demanded from the head coach Zhang Wailong that they would only retrain if they were compensated for their unpaid wages. Zhang Wailong had no choice but to turn this problem over to the management. Obviously, this conflict has dragged to the point where it cannot be easily reconciled.

Last Thursday, the club learned that the accounts had been frozen due to a lawsuit filed by a player who had left the club. Under these circumstances, even if the club has funds coming in, they cannot prioritize payments to first-team players and staff.
