Recently, heavy news, the Chinese Football Association is brewing a major initiative - the return of the transfer adjustment fee charged in recent years to the clubs. If this program is finally implemented, for many clubs in financial difficulties, will undoubtedly be a shot in the arm, significantly easing the team's operating pressure.

Recall that in September last year, Guangzhou Football Club and Beijing Guoan Club, facing a crisis of unpaid wages, jointly submitted an application to the CFA for the refund of the reinforcement adjustment fee. According to media estimates, the total amount of fees paid by several clubs may have exceeded 1.5 billion yuan.

There are three reasons for the CFA to consider returning the reinforcement adjustment fee: firstly, in March, the State Administration of Market Supervision (SAMS) received an anonymous report alleging that the CFA, as a civil society organization, has the problem of indiscriminate fees, and the SAMS then investigated the CFA; secondly, the huge amount of fees collected by the CFA could not be transferred to the China Football Development Foundation (CFDF) due to the legal restriction and could not be used by the CFDF itself, and it was not even possible to provide the receipt vouchers; and thirdly, in the recent two seasons, affected by the epidemic, many professional clubs had operational difficulties and generally owed wages, and the relevant clubs have called on the FA to return the reinforcement adjustment fee in order to improve the operational situation.

Currently, the staff of the FA is working from home. It is reported that, as the epidemic situation improves, the staff resumed offline work, the Association will convene a meeting on the return of reinforcement adjustment fee to make decisions. According to analysis, the possibility of the FA to return the reinforcement adjustment fee is very high, at that time, Guangzhou team, Beijing Guoan, Shenzhen team and other clubs will get valuable "life-saving money".
