In a report on the evening sports news of Guangdong Sports Channel on May 6, Beijing time, Cao Yang, general manager of Meizhou Hakka Football Club, revealed in an interview that Meizhou City is expected to be the venue for the first phase of the Chinese Super League (CSL) matches.
General Manager Cao Yang said in the interview, "Meizhou Hakka's progress in hosting the Chinese Super League at home is going very well, thanks to the full support of the Meizhou Municipal Government and the Wuhua County Government. Although the specific match arrangements have not yet been announced to the public, we have been identified as one of the key regions in the first phase of the tournament system. We are actively communicating and collaborating with all parties in terms of venue renovation, accommodation and catering reception. With our experience in successfully hosting the Chinese League One match system in the past two years, I believe that hosting the Chinese Super League this time will undoubtedly be a comprehensive improvement in service level. Progress in the renovation of venues is encouraging. The Wuhua Olympic Sports Center has been re-turfed and is now in use. The renovation of the lighting facilities at Meixian's Zeng Xianzi Stadium is also well underway, in addition to the Football Town's Venue 9 as one of the alternate options."
