According to the latest report of Beiqing Sports, due to the impact of the new crown epidemic, Kunming City and other cities originally scheduled to host the Chinese Super League tournament have announced their inability to undertake the task of organizing the tournament. In this context, the Chinese Football Association (CFA) and the CFL preparatory team had to shift their attention to the city of Rizhao in Shandong Province.
It has been reported that Wuhan, Xi'an, Hangzhou, Suzhou and other cities have also announced that they are unable to host Chinese Super League matches. Given the tight timeframe in the lead-up to the league's opening, there were very few candidate hosting venues to choose from, and almost no room for manoeuvre. Under this pressure, the FA and CFF preparatory team urgently contacted Rizhao City.
Rizhao has become a new candidate for hosting the Chinese Super League, mainly due to its success in hosting this year's Shandong Provincial Games, thus accumulating a wealth of experience and conditions for hosting the games.
At present, the CFF preparatory team has sent a special person to Rizhao to carry out field investigations. However, due to the strict requirements of epidemic control, the investigation team can only actually send one tournament staff to Rizhao.
