On March 24, Guangzhou City team's shareholding dynamics were once again in the spotlight. Media personality Li Xuan broke the news on social media platforms that Guangzhou City has hired a veteran former international footballer with rich experience in club management and team leading, Li Wei Feng, who has coached at Tianjin Tianhai. It is reported that Li Wei Feng has already arrived at the club to officially open a new chapter of work.

GAC Group has previously dispatched a shareholding restructuring team led by deputy general manager Chen Hanjun to Guangzhou City. In terms of shareholding structure adjustment, Fortune Group will probably no longer hold shares in Guangzhou City Football Salon, while the operation team is expected to be retained. Currently, Guangzhou City has started the preparation for the new season. Although there are changes in the coaching team members, the overall staffing remains stable.

Regarding the issue of unpaid wages for Super League access, Guangzhou City has a preliminary solution. All salary arrears will be divided into two parts, with this year's New Year's Day as the dividing line, the salary arrears of last year's employees will be borne by Fortune Group, while the salary arrears after January 1, 2022 will be borne by the new shareholders. Upon completion of the shareholding reform, Guangzhou Auto Group will start injecting funds into the new Guangzhou City team.

Li Wei Feng served as the deputy general manager and team leader of Tianjin Quanjian Football Salon, and later served as the head of the coaching team with the club's name change to Tianhai. His rich experience in club operations and the prestige of a former national soccer team captain is undoubtedly a valuable leader for GAC, which is new to the soccer field.
