In today's Socceroos, reports from South Korea reveal that Shandong Taishan value Son Junho - at a whopping €10 million. That figure, according to Korean media analysis, may be a huge obstacle to his move to the Premier League.

Previously, Korean media reports revealed that English Premier League club Southampton and Championship club Fulham were both interested in Son Joon Ho. Fulham contacted Son's agent to inquire about his contract details, transfer intentions, and annual salary.

However, today the Korean media pointed out that Shandong Taishan's €10 million offer to Fulham does not seem to have impressed the opposition. Sun Junho seems to be staying with Shandong Taishan this season.

Son Jungho was undoubtedly one of the best in the K-League as he was crowned K-League MVP in 2020, helping Jeonbuk Hyundai win the title, and in February 2021 he joined Shandong Taishan for a transfer fee of just €4.5 million.

In his first year with Shandong Taishan, Sun Junhao helped the team win both the Chinese Super League and the FA Cup with his outstanding performance. Had the Super League awards ceremony not been canceled due to the epidemic, Sun would have won the Super League MVP last season.

According to the latest news from the Korean media, due to his failure to be selected for the Korean national team, Son Junho will return to the Chinese Super League on the 24th to prepare for the new season with Shandong Taishan. Shandong Taishan began contract extension negotiations with Son after the end of last season, and his contract will expire in December 2023, according to the Korean media.
